About the Artist:
Drawing on a lifetime of experience in many mediums, self-taught artist, registered Architect, and local resident Suzi Galletti aims to evoke spiritually uplifting common threads that transcend personal perspectives. Her award-winning, large format, non-representational paintings fuse vibrant emotional depth with the structured lyricism of music, the flow and spontaneity of nature, and the spatial relationships of architecture. Multiple layers built up with palette knives create a moving and vibrant richness of color and texture, exploring the relationships between color, balance, and proportion.

Ms. Galletti has exhibited her art for more than 25 years. Awards for her large scale acrylic on canvas paintings include citations from the Maryland General Assembly and a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council. Her paintings, collages, sculptures, and photography are in numerous private and institutional collections, including The Johns Hopkins Health System, The Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research, Sheppard Pratt, University of Maryland Saint Joseph Medical Center, and the estate of Dusty Hill.

Suzi is a Baltimore County native and has a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Duke University, a Masters in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Certificate in Medical Qigong from AOMA College of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Bastyr University. She was formerly Senior Architect for the Johns Hopkins Health System and Capital Planner for Johns Hopkins University.
