A Responsible Return to the Gordon Center

The Gordon Center is excited to welcome audiences back to the theatre!

We are also committed to a responsible return, creating an environment in which we all safely gather to experience the best of arts and culture.

To ensure the health and security of our patrons, musicians, artists, staff, volunteers, and the community at large, and in consultation with public health officials, the Gordon Center has implemented the following protocols to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19:

  • Effective June 1, 2022, the Gordon Center will be adopting a mask-optional policy for all events.
  • Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 is required to attend all indoor and outdoor performances and events, including concerts, author talks and family programs.
  • Fully vaccinated guests must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination with a physical vaccination card or a photograph of the card, or a digital vaccination record stored on a phone or electronic device.
  • The proof must include the name of the person vaccinated, date of birthtype of vaccine and date of the last dose administered. A guest is considered fully vaccinated if their last dose was administered at least 14 days before attending the event.
  • matching photo ID is required with a valid ticket for the event. Guests younger than age 18 without ID must be accompanied by an adult with proper identification.
  • Proof of a negative COVID-19 test will not be acceptable for entry to Gordon Center events. Exception: there are certain partnerships and rentals where a negative PCR test within 72 hours is accepted. Please check the event ticketing pages for specific policies.
  • Those with legitimate medical exemptions can provide proper documentation from a doctor, along with a negative PCR test within 72 hours to be accepted for admission.
  • Children under 12 years old will be admitted to all events at this time. Masks are strongly recommended for children who are ineligible to be vaccinated.
  • Please be advised that consumption of food and beverage will be permitted indoors at Gordon Center events, and public concessions will be available for purchase.
  • Self-reported vaccination or negative test records not verified by a third-party health care provider are not acceptable.

The Gordon Center continues to closely monitor federal, state, and local guidelines, and may change or update these policies as needed. In addition to regular communication, we also ask patrons to please check back prior to attending to confirm current protocols.

While the Gordon Center is following recommended practices, these protocols do not offer absolute protection against contracting COVID-19. Those purchasing or attending Gordon Center events voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. The Gordon Center reserves the right to require attendees who do not follow our guidelines, or who are disrespectful to staff, artists, volunteers, or other patrons, to leave an event immediately without a refund.

For the protection of audience members, staff, and musicians, if you feel sick, please stay home.
